How to: "Recover Forgotten Ubuntu Password without reinstalling"

If you forgot your password for ubuntu system you can recover using the following steps Method 1 : Turn your computer on. Press ESC at the grub prompt. Press "e" for edit. Highlight the line that begins kernel ……… press "e" Go to the very end of the line, add rw init=/bin/bash press enter, then press "b" to boot your system. Your system will boot up to a passwordless root shell. Type in passwd username Set your password. Type in reboot If this doesnt work you can alternatively try this: Method 2 : Turn on your computer, and as soon as you the Press Esc to enter grub message, press the escape key. Select the option that says ( recovery mode ). Your PC will boot into a shell. Once you get a command prompt, type " passwd username " where the username is your username. Recently there are many calls on Windows XP crashing due to Power Outage in summer season. Previously we discuss about " How to Fix: “ An Error Occurred During Directory Enumeration” in Windows XP " here we are going to fix " NTLDR " missing in Windows XP. Well there is fix to resolve the issue just follow the below steps: 1) Start the computer with Windows XP bootable CD into the computer. When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD, press any key. 2) Select second option Press " R " (To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press " R ") 3) Log into your Windows installation by pressing the " 1 " key and pressing enter. 4) Type in the administrative password and hit "Enter". Last Week I got a call from my friend saying "My computer keeps restarting after there was contiunes electricity blackout" When I turn on the computer it always restart every time after displaying Windows Logo. I tried to fix the problem using Safe mode but it dosen’t work, and then I try last known good configuration but I have the same result. To fix the issue start the computer with bootable Windows XP OS. Select second option Press " R " ( To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press " R " ) Type in the administrative password and hit " Enter ". If you don’t have an administrative password, simply press " Enter " to continue. This will bring you to the following command line: C:\> Type C:\>dir to check the list of directories & files. Zune Phone Finally, Okie Maybe

I know a lot of you out there are just waiting for the Zune phone - Microsoft’s answer to the current king of multitouch telephonic devices. Until they actually confirm, check out the Zune Contact concept by Adam Huffman. He’s revamped the interface, made the body madly thin, slapped on a 5 MP camera and went all touchscreeny.
